A club philosophy provides the direction where we go. On the pitch, we encourage our players to develop their technique, skill and understand the essence of football. A player’s enjoyment grows with an increase in their skills and technique. In addition, we believe that it is very important to improve discipline, courtesy and politeness in order to attribute in life and not just in sport. It sets club standards and a style of play.

Maya Yoshida, who is a permanent resident of the UK, is a shareholder and principal of our club, while Takumi Minamino of Liverpool and Takehiro Tomiyasu of Arsenal are vice-principals of our club and are involved with SAMURAI in a variety of ways, including the club’s community relations, regular interaction with Japanese and local players. In addition, Masashi Kitani, who is a trainer for Yoshida, Minamino, Tomiyasu and many other Premier League players, has been appointed as Head of Medical department to support our academy players with injuries and various physical issues.

London Samurai Rovers (LSR) - History

2017

Launched as LONDON SAMURAI UNITED in the 2017/18 season. From the same year, he fought in the Middlesex County Football League Division 1 (equivalent to 12 divisions) and ranked 10th out of 12 teams in the first year.

2018

In order to win the Division 1 and be promoted to the Premier Division, he merged with J L Rovers, who was active in the same area and participated in league games, and changed his name to the current LONDON SAMURAI ROVERS.
In the 2018/19 season, he fought Division 1 as a new tea , and was promoted to the Premier Division (11th division) in 4th place in the league due to the promotion of the team in the upper league.

2019

In the 2019 / 20-2021 season, he struggled in the Premier Division (11th division) with the aim of being promoted to the 10th division in order to achieve his dream FA CUP participation, but due to the influence of the coronavirus, the league match was canceled in the middle for two consecutive seasons.

2020

In May 2021, he was promoted to the long-sought Combined Counties Football League Division One (10th division) by organizing the league in consideration of the results of the last two seasons.

2021

In the 2021/202 season, we are struggling for the Combined Counties Football League Division One (10th division) with the addition of new members, aiming to be promoted to the 9th division.
