6 Jan 2019 - Harrow Youth - Under 13 Division 2

Academy U-13

It was a 3 – 2 win for us v Hendon that could, and should have been much more.
We started brightly and our passing was crisp. This was especially pleasing as we carried on where we left off before the Christmas break. Our passing and interchanging of positions was too much for them, and we controlled the first half very well, creating numerous chances.
The second half provided much of the same with some good through balls giving us opportunities to score that either resulted in good saves or last ditch clearances to stop us from scoring.
We scored 3 good goals, 2 from Dogen and one from Masa, all different but all pleasing as they were from good passages of play either by quick 1 – 2’s or intelligent through balls or good individual play.
We defended brilliantly as a team for 65 out of 70 minutes, but we gave away 2 goals which were easily avoidable from our point of view.
We also had numerous clear cut chances that would have killed the game and we really need to be more clinical in front of goal to make things easier for ourselves.
Overall really pleased with how we are trying to play and how we are progressing as the season goes on, particularly as we had no Goalkeeper or centre forward, and the 2 boys who volunteered to go in goal, hats off to them they were brilliant, and I really appreciate it.
